Weekly Photo Challenge: Somebody’s First Adventure

The Challenge This Week?

This week, share a photo that says “adventure.” It could be an image of someone setting off on an epic journey, a photo you took on an adventure of your own, or something more metaphoric that represents a personal or psychological adventure. We’re excited to see where you’ll take us!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fraying At The Edges

The Challenge? Fray

Share a photo of what “fray” means to you — it could be a tear in a favorite pair of jeans, a street rumble just about to begin, or a friend diving into an oncoming wave at the beach.

A great excuse to blog a few doors. Fraying at the edges, still doing the job.

These doors were all from a photo safari in the backstreets of Figeac, France

Doors Ancient and Modern

I havent blogged any doors for a while.  Here’s a couple….. one ancient looking door from relatively modern Gawler, South Australia (est. 1836) and the ‘modern’ (early sixties) door of the Hotel Caravelle, Toulouse.  (city established by 200 BC). Toulouse is the home of Airbus, whose ancestor company built the beautiful jetliner Caravelle.

A Door Into The Palace Of Dreams

This splendid entrance is part of the former Odeon Cinema in Petersham, a suburb of Sydney, Australia.  Last used as a roller skating rink, the refurbished building is awaiting a new use.

Drifter update. I’m currently in Sydney, Australia…. tuning up my tastebuds in King St, Newtown and relaxing on the beautiful Hawkesbury River. I’m having fun replenishing my stock of photos of this & that.
